The social and solidarity economy is the 3rd sector of the economy, which solves issues that the state and private sectors cannot. The Social Economy combines profitability with social inclusion<\/strong> and democratic governance systems, works alongside the public and private sectors, contributes significantly to job creation, sustainable development<\/strong> and fairer distribution of income and wealth, directs idle resources<\/strong> to economic activity, mobilize resources locally<\/strong>, enhance entrepreneurship, eliminate market rigidity, encourage market flexibility, promote production adjustment and demonstrate a greater ability to sustain employment during adverse economic cycles.<\/p>\n

Global movements on the spread of poverty and environmental destruction mark the shift from conventional growth to the era of de-growth<\/strong> that promotes respect for geopolitical particularities, social and environmental justice, cultural preservation and the formulation of “Sustainable Development” goals through synergies of everyday people.<\/p>\n

The Social Economy has been growing rapidly in recent years in the EU and Greece statistically owns a large number of ventures. Management and Consulting services have been provided by academic researchers until now, who, however, when their studies are finished, are forced to abandon their ventures, which fail shortly after.<\/p>\n
